Skagerak.

Design Icons since 1976.

Founded in Denmark in 1976, Skagerak is a family business and international brand synonymous with timeless design and quintessential Nordic modernity. The company’s design philosophy and fabrication techniques are deeply rooted in the tradition of Scandinavian craftsmanship, environmental responsibility and the desire to remain curious. Their collection consists of indoor and outdoor furniture and accessories which embody a universal aesthetic, striking the perfect balance between classical virtue and modern life.

“For the past fifteen years, Skagerak has actively sought a sustainable path and I genuinely believe that we can make the world a better place, if we try harder, together. True design quality can only be achieved when a product is made under the right conditions - in harmony with both people and the planet. We create furniture that is built to be used and to survive in the long run, so that they patinate and accumulate stories. That is something I am proud of.”

Jesper Panduro, CEO / owner of Skagerak

B Corp FOR the world.

Sustainability runs through the veins of the Skagerak brand. The company frequently adjusts its practices and policies to meet the challenges inherent in a greener future and they encourage their customers to do the same by purchasing products which are well made and have minimal impact on the environment.

Skagerak is a business that takes responsibility. In 2003, Skagerak became FSC certified and became a member of the UN Global Compact Act in 2010. In 2017 they were one of the first Danish companies to join B Corp and in 2019 they won Scandinavian Green Company of the Year. This was achieved not only as a result of its advancement in sustainable manufacturing, but due to innovative initiatives like Reclassic and Rent. Reclassic is a sustainability enterprise whereby Skagerak buy back and restore customers’ beloved Skagerak furniture to facilitate their purchase of a new piece from the collection, thereby closing the landfill loop.
